- I have recently been widowed. My late husband and I were together for 9 years and would have been married 3 years this coming September. He realy was the love of my life but now he is with the Lord and in good hands.I have two kids Cassie is 10 and Benjamin is 5, and 5 step-children. Cass has been involved in soccer and Girls on the run. Ben will be joining soccer this year. They both do very well in school. I went back to school in the fall of 2008 for my Associates in Law and Criminal Justice. I want to become an Animal Control Officer. I was a Vet asst. for 8 years and its time to move on to something else. I love animals and would do just about anything to protect them. I feel strongly that this is what God called me to do. We had to put our beloved Sophie to sleep this year. We miss her. We also have three cats. My kids and I volunteer at an equine therapy ranch named "Hope Ranch". We love it. We go out there every day to help with ranch duties like feeding the horses, the chicks, make fire pits, help build stalls, even scoop poop. Some body has to do it. :) I love it. It feels like home.
